I enjoy the experimentation of graphic design work and savor every moment I can to spend time honing in on my skills. I wish there was more time in a day to devote to this essential talent. I am my own teacher, as many of my photography skills go hand in hand with graphic design. Many that follow my work, and are close me, are unaware of the dedication I have to educating myself about vintage and modern advertising, typography, spatial layout, web design and branding. J. Helen Elza, author of Return to Widows Hollow – Book II of the Appalachian Trilogy, had an immediate and intense connection to my image of a train rolling past a front porch in the mountains of West Virginia. The view and mood perfectly linked to her story and she used this image for her book cover. I composed the cover layout for the soon to be published book. She had specific text layout, photos, and colors that I was mindful of as I designed. The finished product is one that I am proud of, one that allowed me to push my boundaries of graphic design while integrating my love of photography.

I feel you can’t fully understand something without know all the fine details. ~ read more about me.
